Directors-Shareholders
Philip Gamble - Managing Director
Philip trained with the Home Office and was responsible for front-line Immigration Casework within the Department until 1992. He was the founder partner of Montgomery and Co. (Immigration) and later Managing Director of 1st Contact Visas until 2002. He founded the present firm, as the name suggests, and is now recognised as an authority in British Nationality Law and the effects of decolonisation within the former British Empire and it’s relationship to British Citizenship. Outside of the Firm, Philip has represented the industry as a whole, with the Home Office After-Entry Committee’s and Advisory Committee of the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. He has assisted the Home Office in formulation of their Policy Guidance in relation to the Highly Skilled Migrant’s Program (now Tier One of the Points Based Scheme) has been actively involved in individual cases which have resulted in changes in the law.
Managers
Joanne Whitehead - Departmental Manager
Joanne joined the firm in the year 2001 and is a Registered Immigration Advisor with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. She has been responsible for a wide variety of Immigration Casework and more recently was responsible for forming the team dealing with the issue of Sponsorship Certificates under Tier 2 of the Points Based Scheme for the National Health Service and Private Healthcare. Joanne has been strongly involved with Visa Audits for UK employers and is a expert in the UK’s Laws controlling the prevention of illegal working. Joanne prides herself on client care and is found to be a most dedicated and committed Immigration Caseworker.
Sandra Zegarac - Departmental Manager
Sandra joined the firm in the year 2005 having previously worked with another leading UK Visa Agency and is a Registered Immigration Advisor with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. Her talents lie with thinking outside of the box and producing constructive and helpful solutions for client’s with unusual problems. Sandra has been strongly involved with Visa Audits for UK employers and is an expert in the UK’s Laws controlling the prevention of illegal working. She is able to represent individuals and UK Corporate bodies with most Immigration Matters. Sandra is fluent in English and Croatian.
Laura Pinto – Departmental Manager
Laura was born in Madeira and raised in South Africa. She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2003 and relocated to the UK in August of 2004. Laura started her career in UK Immigration Law with our sister firm, 1st Contact the following year. Laura is now responsible for European Casework and Business/Investment applications being registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner at level 2.
Consultants
Gabriela King - Senior Caseworker
Gabriela joined the firm in September 2003 and is a Registered Immigration Advisor with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. She has fulfilled a number of specialised roles within the company in addition to Immigration Casework and presently is in charge of quality control and file management. Gabriela’s attention to detail is second to none and has a growing client base in the UK. Gabriela is fluent in Slovak, Czech and Russian.
Ashvinder Chana - Immigration Caseworker
Ashvinder graduated in the UK from the Institute of Cardiff University and joined the firm in the year 2008 and is a Registered Immigration Advisor with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. She has a special interest in East African Casework and is fluent in Kiswahili, Punjabi and Hindi. Ashwinder aspires to become a leader in her field.
Reena Kothari – UK Entry Clearance
Reena was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Reena graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1995 and started her career with KMPG Kenya. She joined Philip Gamble and Co. in 2010 and is now responsible for UK Immigration applications lodged with British Posts overseas. Reena has a caring attitude towards her clients and work and has had notable success with applications involving family migration. Reena is fluent in Gujarati and Kiswahili.

Donna Jarvis - Client Liason
Donna joined the firm in the year 2006 and plays a valuable role in the co-ordination of appointments and workflow for Philip Gamble. Those who have been in contact with Donna will know that she is a lifeline to those who are anxious about their Immigration Status and has a caring attitude coupled friendly manner. She generally consolidates other consultants workload when needed and is a very helpful individual.
Administration Officer
Mishal Patel - Administrator
Mishal was born in Mombasa, Kenya and relocated to the UK in 2005. He is now pursuing a LLB (Hons) Degree at City University and commence work for Philip Gamble and Co. in June 2009. Mishal, as his background dictates, has a special interest in East African affairs and can speak fluent Kiswahli and Gujarati. Mishal likes to go a step further to ensure customer satisfaction is met at all times.
